John C. Slater is president and founder of EBS. John has spent 27 years in the employee benefits field, serving as President of Gulf Guaranty Employee Benefit Services, Inc. for seventeen years, and managing the TPA department of a Jackson insurance agency for the five years prior to that.
John has served on the board of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), widely recognized as the leading national trade group for the TPA industry. And, John was instrumental in forming the Mississippi Association of Professional Benefit Administrators, a state-wide trade group that has helped self-funded employers obtain better pricing and access from medical providers.
John lives in Madison, Mississippi with his wife and two children and enjoys hiking, scouting, college sports, and anything outdoors.
